Electric starter kit includes Hitachi starter, solenoid plunger assembly kit, starter solenoid, Volt Tech starter drive, Hitachi starter housing, starter wiring harness and all other componenets.
Your existing clutch drum must have starter ring gear attached. Kick and electric start sprocket cover must be used if kick starter is to be retained. Battery and strap are not included. On 1979-80 XL, the battery box is incorporated into the oil tank.
